If you like the design, we can then move forward in working together. If not, there are no hard feelings and no further obligations.

Fill out contact form

The process starts when you fill out our contact form at the bottom of this page. You will receive a response email within 1 business day requesting that we schedule a call to learn more about your needs. We’ll need to have a brief phone conversation to get a sense of your project’s scope to be able to give you a proper quote.

Initial phone call

Our initial call will take 15-30 minutes. We will ask you a series of questions to determine your goals for the website, key functional requirements you have, your timeline and other important considerations that will affect the scope of the project.

We send you a proposal

Within 2-3 business days we will email you a proposal for the project. This will include a detailed list of all the services and features provided as well as a timeline for the project and a quote for the project cost.

If the scope and budget of the proposal works for you*, then we can move forward with the Free Mockup offer. At this point nothing has been signed and no money has exchanged hands.

Budget

We’re not the cheapest option, but for the quality of what you get, there is no better value available.

Our pricing ranges from $7k-$35k and we offer a detailed pricing table on our pricing page.

Disclaimer

The Free Mockup is only available to qualified projects.

To qualify your budget and scope must fall in line with our pricing and capabilities.

If your project scope or budget is not a fit then the Free Mockup is not available.

We reserve the right to refuse the Free Mockup offer to any project we feel we are not a fit with.

Website questionnaire

We will send you a detailed questionnaire to get a sense of the vision you have for the new website’s design.

This will include links to other websites you like the look and feel of, as well as fonts, colors and other visual elements you would like to include.

Receive your free mockup

After receiving your input from the questionnaire we will then have a Photoshop Mockup of the homepage of your new website within 4 business days.

This mockup is just a preliminary draft and should we work together you will have ample opportunity to revise the design until it is just as you like it.

Contract

If you like the mockup and want to move forward in working together, we will then sign a contract with the same terms outlined in the proposal.

No hard feelings

If the mockups wasn’t quite what you were looking for, then there is no obligation and no hard feelings. You owe us nothing and have gained a better sense of what you’re looking for in a website.

The only caveat is that you would have no legal right to the mockup design we made and could not use it for your website without full compensation.

    Our projects range from $7k-$35k depending on the scope of the project.

    The main factors that go into scoping a project are the total number of pages for the site, total number of unique page templates, rounds of revision, any kind of unique functionality you may need for the project and the degree of the level of user experience strategy you may need for the project. Let’s take a moment to explain what each one of those elements means and how it impacts your project.

    Total Number of Pages

    The total number of pages is pretty straight forward. Any time you click something and go to another url on your website, that counts as a page.

    What is a page?

    Total Number of Unique Page Designs

    More important than total number of pages is the concept of unique page designs. A page design is a template or framework for a design.

    What is a custom page design?

    Unique Functionality

    Unique functionality can be pretty broad as a concept. An easy way to think about it is, the more ‘regular’ a website you need the less expensive it will be. The more you need the site to perform or display in an usual way, the more costly it typically is.

    What is a Page?

    A page is pretty straightforward. Any time you click on something and go to another URL that is a page. So for example if you have a team page and the bio of each team member goes to a different URL, then each team member bio counts as a separate page.

    What is a Custom Page Design?

    A custom page design is a page with a unique design on the frontend and
    a unique development interface in the backend.

    In this example the homepage represents a unique page design and the inner pages share the second page design. So in this example there are 4 pages but only 2 unique page designs.

    What is Unique Functionality?

    Here are some examples of unique functionality.

    3rd Party Integration

    3rd Party Integration

    A 3rd party integration can be something like Salesforce or Marketo, where information input on your site needs to be captured and delivered to this third party provider. Or data needs to be pulled from a 3rd party platform and displayed on your website. These integrations can range from very simple, if there is an existing WordPress plugin for example, to quite complex if the integrating coding needs to be done custom from scratch.

    Gated Content

    Gated Content

    Sometimes clients will only want to allow users access to content if they perform a certain task, such as providing their email information. This pricing page is an example of gated content. This is often done for things like 'white papers' or other types of lead magnates.

    Membership Area

    Membership Area

    A membership area goes beyond just gating content, to requiring a visitor to register with a username and password to give them access to specific pages or content sections on the website. Membership integration also allows an admin to have membership control over each individual member with the ability to upgrade, downgrade or revoke membership access.

    API Integration

    API Integration

    An API integration is when your website needs to 'talk' to a third-party application either pulling or pushing data as needed. What distinguishes API integration from 3rd party integration is 3rd party integration typically involves integrating a ready-made solution, while API integration requires more technical expertise working with the API documentation of the 3rd party.

    Front-end animation

    Front-end animation

    This can include anything from SVG animations, GIFs, micro-animations, interactive function, loading animations, etc.. Pretty much anything unusual or cool looking where there is an animation or interactive element would be covered here. And the cost of these types of functions really just depends on the request. But they sometimes involve an additional fee.

    Custom calculator

    Custom calculator

    Sometimes companies such as lenders require an interactive calculator that allows users to work out some needed calculation. These custom calculators sometimes have stand-alone formulas and other times require pulling data such as the latest rates or current prices.

    Data scraping

    Data scraping

    Data scraping is when you need to pull data from another website and display it on your own website. This can be anything from the weather, travel times or the current price of gold. This service typically requires an additional fee.

    Geo-targeting

    Geo-targeting

    If you need the website to recognize the IP address of the user and display unique content based on their address, this would qualify as geo-targeting.

    Language Translation

    Language Translation

    When it comes to language translation there are a couple of options. The simple solution is using Google Translate which does a pretty good job and requires no additional cost to add. If you want full control over the different language content being displayed, then we would need to integrate with a custom language translation plugin and this integration does incur an additional cost.

    The Free Mockup is only available to qualified projects.

    To qualify your budget and scope must fall in line with our pricing and capabilities.

    If your project scope or budget is not a fit then the Free Mockup is not available.

    We reserve the right to refuse the Free Mockup offer to any project we feel we are not a fit with.

    The mockup is a picture of the homepage of your new website. Typically you will receive multiple different mockups from different designers.

    The mockups you receive are no means the final version of your website. You will have plenty of opportunity to go back and forth with the design to get it just the way you want.

    With that being said, if you hate the mockup design then we probably aren’t the right fit for your needs.

    Depending on the scope of the project you will receive the website proposal within 1-3 business days of our first call.

    Our questionnaire is meant to be comprehensive but not overwhelming. It is 5 pages long and you will be able to save your progress and continue working on the questionnaire over multiple sessions.

    The website questionnaire covers your company information, what makes your service or product unique, as well as information about the customers you serve and their needs.

    The questionnaire also covers your preferences in terms of fonts, colors and other websites you like the look and feel of. As well as any additional design or content collateral you can provide that will help with the process.

    When it comes to design, our clients can vary from having a very specific vision we help to realize, to having no idea what they want and relying on us to come up with the design concepts. And everything in between.

    The free mockup truly comes with no obligations or strings attached. If the mockup isn’t what you were looking for there truly are no hard feelings.
