Neurobat Lab
Project Details
The Neurobat Lab investigates the neural basis of natural behaviors—an approach known as Neuroethology—to uncover general principles of brain function. The lab focuses on spatial navigation, group sociality, and acoustic communication, exploring how these behaviors interact in real-world settings. Bats are the primary model species, chosen for their unique and highly specialized capacities in these areas.
The goal for the redesign was to transition the site to a campus-approved platform while improving usability and ensuring the lab could easily manage and update content on their own.
Thomas Digital designed a custom, mobile-responsive WordPress website for the Neurobat Lab, showcasing its cutting-edge research in a clear and compelling way. The site features intuitive navigation, streamlined content sections for research areas, publications, lab members, and opportunities, and reflects the lab’s dedication to understanding the brain through natural behavior.
